Data Purl collects only publicly available product information (names, prices, discounts, availability and product attributes) from retailer and brand websites, and collects no personal data. Its collection and processing practices have been through more than 100 client compliance reviews.
What we collect
- Public product listings: product names, prices, full prices, discounts and availability.
- Public product attributes such as category, brand, size and colour.
- No personal data, no customer accounts and no information behind a login.
How it is processed
Raw listings are standardized into one category tree, brands are resolved to their owners and to listed securities, and pack sizes are parsed into standard units. Every transformation is described on the methodology page, so the provenance of each figure can be traced from the published metric back to the product observations it is built from.
