What is full-price availability?
The share of a brand's products that are both in stock and selling at full price, a proxy for clean, healthy demand.
Definition
Full-price availability combines two observations: whether a product is in stock, and whether it is selling at its full price. Products that are in stock at full price are the healthiest part of an assortment.
How Data Purl measures it
Each tracked SKU is observed weekly for availability and price. The metric is the count of SKUs that are in stock and not discounted, divided by all active SKUs.
Why it matters
Products that sell out at full price indicate demand running ahead of supply. Products that stay in stock only while discounted indicate the opposite.
